Information You Will Need

The following list is an outline of information you will need to get your FSBO online. Please have the information ready prior to signing up your real estate. It is no problem to update any listing but it is best to have all fields completed with accurate information at the time your For-Sale-By-Owner property page is published.

  • Images
  • Image importance can not be overstated. You will need well composed image 286 pixels wide by 124 pixels high. The width is important to maintain. However, the height can be taller. just be sure that when you resize your image you do not do it in such a manner that the image resolution and quality suffers. If you need help here we can crop, resize and manipulate images for you. Be sure to mention any image concerns you may have in our support follow-up.

    We will be adding a "pop up image for more detail" feature. This could be another view of the property or a larger version of the image on the page. Please let us know if you are interested in this feature.

  • Assessors Data
  • Please refer to this Bowie, Texas listing. The Property Details data is general information concerning your property. If you cannot fill in these fields on a piece of paper relating to your property then you can visit your county's Tax Assessor's office and get a print out containing this information and more! However, the Tax Assessor's information may not be updated. For example, if their information says "no" for a garage and you park your car in one every night (grin) then be sure to include that fact when submitting your data to us.

  • Additional Information
  • Under the Additional information heading you will find fields for Asking Price, Financing, Community Features and Amenities. the Bowie, Texas listing is a good example for ideas as to what to fill these fields in with. Be sure to have something for each field. it's better to have "near shopping" then nothing at all.

  • Property Description
  • Please take a look at our FSBO Listings Index and note that the description of the property is the same as the "Property Description" on the Bowie, Texas listing as well as the Mineola, Texas listing. Our custom automated program is designed to do this. So, be sure that when you create your "Property Description" you use as many words as possible that you think people may use when searching for your property.

 

Don't worry too much about the data. Just be sure it is accurate and you have something for every field. If you have no garage, for example, we will enter "No Garage" in the field.

We will do everything we can to optimize your listing but we need information to work with! When in doubt about whether or not to include a bit of information toss it in as we may be able to use it to your advantage.
